We have our preliminary programme ready. As always, the right topics select themselves. Data is currently a 'big thing' in agriculture, as developments in precision farming, food chain optimisations, data platforms and reporting on environmental and climatic performance continue.
CAPIGI-2022 has some key highlights:
- We are kicking CAPIGI off with a networking lunch and you can start visiting the exhibition to meet our sponsors and other interesting companies
- Monday afternoon we have a Data Platforms session. Great to hear how different developments go on.
- Thuesday morning we have Claudia Rössler, the agriculture director of Microsoft;
- Later that morning we have Christian Holzleitner, unit head Carbon Removals on Land at the European Commission, DG-CLIMA;
- Thuesday afternoon is mostly dedicated to the Area Monitoring System, Europe's new way of governing the CAP.
- Wednesday we have our innovation section, with great examples and new developments,
- Wednesday afternoon we have a visit to the Forward Farm in Abbenes. This farm is a demonstration place from Bayer. The farmer agreed to discuss with us how he feels about data and related developments. A reality check for all!
