On behalf of the City of Amersfoort it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the CAPIGI Conference, being held Monday 9th April – Wednesday 11th April in Amersfoort.
A special thanks for our ambassadors Tamme Van der Wal and Leon Hendriks from the company Aerovision. I highly appreciate that you not only have chosen our city as the base for your company but also as the destination for the CAPIGI Conference.
As chairman of the SVB-BGT based in Amersfoort and as an ambassador of' Anders Kijken', I am closely involved in the digitisation of geo-information and to promote the importance of using available data. Digital and open data play an increasingly important role in finding solutions to social problems, because good and rapid analyses can be made by using data. This will make it possible to develop targeted and effective policies. In Amersfoort we regularly use such data for example in safety issues.
Amersfoort is located in the heart of the Netherlands and the second-largest city of the Provence Utrecht in central Netherlands. Amersfoort is only 40 minutes away from Schiphol airport and the city is known by its long history. Nowadays the city is growing quickly but has a well-preserved and protected medieval centre. Our historical centre obtains more than 700 monuments. While you are in Amersfoort, please take the time to enjoy the preserved architecture, museums and of course the nice restaurants, bars and shops.
I look forward welcoming you during the reception in our city on Monday 9th April!
Lucas Bolsius
Mayor of Amersfoort

NEO’s mission is to provide everyone with useful and up-to-date geo-information from imagery. In 2018 it is totally unnecessary to use outdated geo-information, because there is so much imagery from satellites, aircraft, mobile phones, etc. that it is well possible to secure and update information using these sources. It is our core business to provide this information and to help you in keeping this information up to the standards you require. In agriculture NEO provides monitoring solutions for the Common Agricultural Policy and precision agriculture.
